Francworks combines a passion for filmmaking, a keen eye for motion design and a love of sound editing to create engaging works in motion; partnering with local creative businesses, independent brands and global climate change initiatives.
Founder Luke Francis is backed by over eight years working commercially in the creative industries, including a former position with the talented Taxi Studio team for over seven years and a Co-Creative Director role at Boneshaker Magazine. His first self-shot documentary film Beulah has gained recognition at adventure film festivals across the UK and around the world.
Whilst at Taxi Studio, Luke worked across graphic design, branding and motion disciplines, picking up awards from the likes of D&AD and Design Week. Rising from a junior position to become the lead Motion Creative; he worked closely with the Creative Partners, Managing Director and Digital Producer to carve out a niche in the business.
Taxi’s motion offering also paved the way for self-initiated animated shorts, most notably Creative Discomforts which premiered at the D&AD New Blood Festival in 2018. The film aims to instil creative courage into new creatives starting out in the industry, gaining insight on what it means to be Fearless about creativity.
